I was going to write a post this week about how this season's Avs are now winning a new way, by controlling play and getting more shots than the other team. They were clearly as worried about shot totals and, yes, Corsi as we were last season.

I had a big post all lined up about how there was obviously a renewed commitment to trying to control play and get pucks on net, and that Sacco's biggest frustration this season was being too cute and not shooting. It showed that he stressed that the Avs need to shoot and can't rely on Andy to bail them out with 40-save performances.



Yeah, so about that.
